Laser Therapy

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a form of light therapy that triggers biochemical changes within cells. Photons are absorbed by cellular photoreceptors, triggering chemical alterations and potential biochemical benefits to the human body. LLLT has been used in pain management for years and is also known as cold laser therapy, which uses low-frequency continuous laser of typically 600 to 1000 nm wavelength for pain reduction and healing stimulation. Many studies have demonstrated analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects provided by photobiomodulation in both experimental and clinical trials. Based on current research, the use of LLLT for pain management and osteoarthritic conditions may be a complementary strategy used in clinical practice to provide symptom management for patients suffering from osteoarthritis and chronic muscle pain.* The laser is administered using a wand apparatus held directly against the skin and moved gently around the target area. Both therapist and patient wear protective eyewear, and sessions last from 2-10 minutes per region. Sessions are one on one, in a private setting, where standard privacy protocols and current recommended CDC health guidelines will be strictly adhered. Rates begin at $25 for one region and $50 for up to 3 regions. Massage therapy can be added in 15 minute increments at $20/15 minutes.

Mobility Improvement

Mobility is the ability to move a limb through its full range of motion. It is a controlled voluntary movement through its entire functional range of motion. Mobility training is the process in which you work to improve mobility in all joints or a single joint. In doing so you reduce the potential of imbalances, reduce the risk for injuries, allow for full benefits of exercise by moving limbs through their respective full range of motion, and help you move better whether for daily activities or for sports. Combining her experience teaching Aikido with her knowledge base of massage and bodywork techniques and Yin Yoga, Angel offers a uniquely designed session to include skill building and functional improvement specific to your needs. Sessions are one on one, in a private setting, or can be combined with one or two other people for group instruction where standard privacy protocols will be strictly adhered. It is advisable to wear clothing that will allow for good range of motion. Please consult your physician prior to engaging in any physical exercise. Rates begin at $35/30 minutes, and massage therapy can be added at $15/20 minutes.
